We would like to offer you tools that optimize and streamline the product listing process or offer association. In this tutorial you will learn how to use the product creation option Add product with URL to quickly add products to the platform using only a link from your website.
What is the “Add product with URL” option?
Product listing with own link significantly simplifies the product addition process.

How it works: This functionality automatically extracts data from your website and allows you to quickly add products to the platform by simply providing a URL.
How to use the “Add product with URL” option?
- Go to Products → Add product.
- Select Add product with URL.
- Enter the product link in the Product URL field.
- Check the box confirming that you assume responsibility for all associated content.
- Click Continue.
⚠️Attention! If you use a link with product content in another language, it will be automatically translated to Hungarian.
The system will automatically extract and display the following information:
- Product name – automatically translated to Hungarian
- Brand – extracted automatically
- Description – automatically translated to Hungarian
- Images – check compliance with platform image standards
- Category – extracted automatically
⚠️Important! Product characteristics will not be extracted – you must fill them in manually.
What should you do after the information is extracted?
- Verify the accuracy of the extracted information.
- Check the images: Make sure they comply with the eMAG image standards. If the images are not appropriate, redo them and upload them separately. See the image standard here.
- Complete the characteristics fields that were not extracted.
- Complete the description, if necessary, and add the product safety information. See details here.
- Fill in the offer details:
- Price
- Stock
- GPSR-required information (manufacturer details and EU responsible person)
- Save the product after ensuring that all information is complete and correct.
- You will receive confirmation that the listing steps have been completed.
- The Products → My Products page will open, where you will see the newly listed product with the status Validation pending.
When does the system propose association with an existing product?
- If an identical product already exists on the eMAG Marketplace HU platform (same EAN, name, brand, and category), the system will automatically propose associating your offer with it.
- If the identified product is not identical or has different characteristics, use the “Create new product” option. The product will enter the validation process, and you will be able to track its status in Products → My Products.
- If the link does not describe your product, click Try another URL and insert a new link.
- If the used link is from emag.hu, the association will take place after completing all offer details.
- The product already listed in eMAG Marketplace HU corresponding to the link you inserted will be displayed.
Steps for association:
- The product already listed in eMAG that matches your link will be displayed. Click Attach offer.
- Complete the price, stock, and GPSR details (manufacturer and EU responsible person).
- Click Save to finalize the association.
- The product already listed in eMAG corresponding to the link you inserted will be displayed.
Important to remember when using the “Add product with URL” option
- Use only links to websites for which you hold all necessary rights to extract and use the content.
- By using this tool, you assume responsibility for the accuracy of the content and for compliance with eMAG laws and terms.
- The quality of information extraction depends on the structure and complexity of your website. The better organized your website is, the more accurate the results will be.
- If the information extracted from the link you provide is not sufficient to properly document the product you want to list on the platform, then you will need to list that product using the manual listing form.
- If the extracted EAN code already exists on the platform, the respective offer to which you can associate will be displayed.
- Always review the extracted information before publishing to ensure that the product documentation is complete and correct.
