In this tutorial, we will describe the four steps to add a Feed, in the eMAG Marketplace platform.
To add a new feed, go to the Products menu and, select the Feeds section.
On the Feed List page, you will find the green Add feed button. Click this button and you will enter the Feed details page with the four steps of feed import:
- General settings
- Feed fields mapping
- Categories mapping
- Schedules
Step one – General settings
In the General Settings section you set the data of the new feed, filling in the six mandatory fields, marked with the orange star:
- Feed name – fill in a name that represents the products grouped in that feed
- Feed type – select the file extension used (CSV or XML)
- Feed model – choose from the two available options to publish products or update offer: Publish products or Update offers
- Feed URL – represents the address of the product file on your site. After inserting it, it must be validated from the Validate button. Remember that the URL size must not exceed 100 Mb and contain a maximum of 100,000 products in a maximum of 150 categories.
- Default VAT – the percentage of VAT you pay
- Default handling time – expressed in days
After filling in these fields, click the green Save button on the right of the page.
Step two – Feed fields mapping
It contains the fields from the eMAG Marketplace platform that will be associated with the fields in your file and its` role is of synchronizing and saving the data from your file with the information within the platform.
Here you will find the following fields:
- Required fields (which you recognize by the orange star next to them):
- Category – the category to which the product in the file belongs
- Product name – the name of the product contained in the file
- Brand – the brand of the product
- Product ID – the product ID of the platform
- Product code – the product code from the site
- Product URL – the product link on your site,
- Image URL – the link to the product image
- Sale price – you will complete it without VAT
- Stock – the number of units available for sale
- Optional fields:
- Description
- PNK – the unique product identification code in the platform,
- Recommended price – the price from which the discount will be applied, during the campaigns
- VAT – the value paid monthly by your company
- Handling time – delivery time
- Warranty – the period of time for which you provide a warranty on the product, expressed in a number of months
- Length
- Width
- Height
- Weight – specific elements for FBE sellers
- EAN – the barcode number on the product.
As with the General Settings, don’t forget to save the data recorded in this section with the green Save button on the right.
Step three – Categories mapping
Categories mapping is used only for product publishing feeds. This section contains all the categories in the XML / CSV file. Your products` categories must be associated with those existing in the eMAG Marketplace. You can select only the categories agreed by the contract signed with eMAG Marketplace. For any other categories please contact Message Center for support.
Careful! Make sure you associate all the desired categories. Otherwise, products in non-associated categories will not be published or updated in the eMAG Marketplace.
When you have filled in all the fields in this section, click Save.
Step four – Schedules
In Schedules, you will set the frequency of feed. In the Run every field you can choose from the available options:
– every day – you can set the: day- hour- minute
– every week – select the day of the week – hour – minute
– every month – choose the day of the month – hour – minute.
After your new feed is analyzed, the stock and price information will be updated for the selected products. After filling in the last section fields, click Save and your new Feed will be displayed in the Feed List.
