In this tutorial, you will get more information about the errors that may occur when listing your products on the eMAG Marketplace platform due to invalid images. Products, which do not meet all the eligibility criteria of the eMAG Marketplace platform, will not be validated and published.
Errors, which could lead to the product rejection due to invalid images, are the following:
- White background of the main image
For the main image of the product, it is mandatory to use only pictures with a white background. Otherwise your product will be rejected. If you meet this kind of error for one of your products, then you must change the background color of the main image into white and replace it.
- Secondary images display different product then the one from the main image
This error occur when secondary images contain another product or other version of the product compared to the product displayed in the main image or in other documentation`s sections.
Correct the secondary images in order to present only the product you sell and no other version of it.
- Multiple issues of the main image
Refers to issues detected on the main product image. There could be visible edits, watermarks, or other elements, which do not meet the eMAG Marketplace criteria. Before uploading the main image of the product make sure, you captured the entire product, individually on a white background and with no other elements of support.
- Watermarks
This error occur when your product`s images contain text or symbols which are not allowed to be inserted. Do the needed corrections and remove the watermarks from the images then upload it again.
- Poor image quality
The eMAG Marketplace platform does not accept out of focus or unclear images with bad edit traces. In order to avoid an error issue, make sure your product`s images look perfect, before uploading them on the platform.
- Reflections and shadows
It means that reflections and shadows were found around the captured product. Edit and remove the reflections then upload the images again.
- Logos
Your images contain logos, which promote brands or other websites. Remove any logo from your product`s images before you upload them on the eMAG Marketplace platform.
- Centered/ frontally captured product
The primary image must show the product from the front and it must be in the center of the image.
9. Insufficient product focus
The product should be in the foreground and should occupy over 80% of the image background.
10. Inconsistent product image.
The image does not correspond to the information presented in the other sections of the documentation. Correct the image so that it corresponds to the information presented in the features sections, description, name, etc.
11. Image upload error
Pay attention to the image format, size and dimensions. The eMAG Marketplace platform only accepts .jpg, .png, .gif formats, a size of maximum 8MB and dimensions starting from 640X640 pixels.
For fashion items, the minimum dimension must be of 640X960 pixels.
To fix the reported errors you must follow a few steps:
- Find the product with the issue
- Go to the (i) button from the Rejection reason column, next to it.
- A new page opens which contains the error type, the section in which you must do corrections and a short suggestion for the error remedy.
- Return to the rejected product list and press the yellow Edit button in the Actions
- You will see the highlighted error in the section you need to do modifications.
- After you finished correcting the error, press Save
The product will be verified again. If this time, you have made the right corrections, your product will be published as soon as possible on the eMAG site.
