Read them below!
News
Hungary
@ Following the e-commerce explosion of recent years, smaller businesses are also starting to look at how to make the process of getting goods from the warehouse to the customer as efficient as possible, according to piacesprofit.hu. These jobs are the least popular among workers because of the frequent strenuous movements.
@ The reboot of the Hungarian economy has been successful: Hungary was among the first in Europe to exceed its pre-pandemic economic performance, last year’s gross domestic product grew by 6.4 percent, and this year’s growth is expected to be well above 5 percent, the Finance Minister said in a post on his Facebook page, responding to a letter from Lajos Kósa and István Fiák on the exemption from the social security contributions for under-25s.
@ The world of business closed an unusual year in 2021, according to Opten. All the major business information indicators registered a turnaround, and 2022 is expected to bring more surprises, business information expert Richárd Pertics was quoted as saying. 33 821 company formations and 20 439 company closures were published in 2021 in Hungary. This marks the first increase in the number of partnerships in a long time.
International
@ According to Eurostat, online sales continued to grow for companies in the European Union in 2020. Thus, 22% of companies with at least 10 employees having online sales and for 19% of these, online sales represented at least 1% of total turnover. In Hungary, 17% of companies with at least 10 employees said that their online sales represented at least 1% of total turnover. The information was collected in 2021 through a survey on ecommerce activity.
@ British consultancy company Cebr (Centre for Economics and Business Research) estimates that global GDP will exceed $100,000 billion for the first time in 2022. China will take longer than initially estimated to overtake the United States and become the world’s largest economy.

Useful tips for you
The ecommerce sector has grown considerably in the last two years.
Therefore, 2022 will bring development opportunities for entrepreneurs who have online businesses, but in order to take advantage of them, we recommend you stay informed and study the new trends in ecommerce.
One of them is qCommerce (quick commerce), a global trend, which refers to the consumer’s desire to receive ordered products as quickly as possible, even within a few hours after placing the order, and this trend is particularly noticeable in the area of food delivery. However, even when shopping online, customers generally want speed when placing an order, so it is important to invest in optimising logistics processes to improve this part of your business.
Easybox delivery
A simple and fast way of delivering parcels will also contribute to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Sometimes customers need more flexibility, and for them easybox delivery can be a great solution, as they can pick up the products when they have time, without having to wait for the courier. Consider offering this delivery option to your customers for a better shopping experience.
In 2022, some of the challenges emerging globally in supply chains are likely to persist. Therefore, we recommend that you take this into account and make sure you place your orders early for the stocks needed for important times of the year, such as Valentine’s Day, March 8th, or holiday periods. Keep in mind that products without stock will not get visits on the platform, therefore you may miss out on sales opportunities and the product’s position in the listing may be affected. Follow the alerts in the KPI Toolbar (the dynamic recommendations bar from your account) to see which indicators need improvement, what our recommendations are and what actions you could take to increase sales. To view products for which stock is limited you can use the “Out of stock in next 7 days” indicator, where you will see products that have had sales in the last 30 days and have an estimated out of stock in the next 7 days.
Another trend that will be more visible in 2022 is related to the need to offer customers a personalised experience, as well as to digitise the shopping process. People want to make informed decisions, and technology, through AI, AR or VR can help build a clearer picture of the items being sold. Because in the online environment the purchase decision is mainly influenced by the presentation of the product through photos and description, we recommend that you pay attention to this area and update the documentation of the products in your offer. You can use the menu “My offers” – “Content quality” to see the status of the documentation for each product and which are the suggestions for improvement. Consider that a good proportion of customers shop online from mobile apps and adapt the documentation so that it is easy to read and view on the mobile screen.
