In this tutorial, you can find the summary of the changes in the regulation of the mandatory guarantee in Hungary according to the gov. order 151/2003. (IX. 22.), which came into force from 2021. As a result, you have to keep in mind these regulations when updating the warranty period of your products sold on the eMAG Marketplace.
The most important change is that the length of the mandatory warranty period depends on the purchase price (sale price) of the product:
- one year if the sale price reaching HUF 10,000 but not exceeding HUF 100,000;
- two years if the sale price exceeding HUF 100,000 but not exceeding HUF 250,000;
- Three years over the sale price of HUF 250,000.
If you wish to change / check the warranty period for your products accordingly in the eMAG Marketplace, you have the option to do so in bulk. In order to modify this, go to Import Excel menu and download the Update Offers template file. Here you must modify the length of the guarantee (expressed in months) in the Warranty (O) column. After this, you can upload the finished file to the interface by clicking the XLS upload button.
