Soon, Black Friday 2025 will trigger, as every year, the much-awaited shopping frenzy.
We hope that the information you’ve received from us so far has helped you keep your strategy on track for this year. Today we’re sending you a brief overview of the most relevant operational and technical details to keep in mind during these final preparation days:
➡️ When Black Friday takes place:
- In Romania: Friday, November 7, 2025
- In Hungary and Bulgaria: Friday, November 14, 2025
➡️ Until when can you upload offers for Black Friday:
- For Black Friday Hungary: November 7, 22:00
- For Black Friday Bulgaria: November 7, 23:00

➡️ When do you need to deliver Black Friday Hungary orders?
- Customers will eagerly await products ordered on Black Friday, and we want these to arrive on time, therefore, our commitment to customers is that all orders placed in the Black Friday Campaign reach them by December 5.
- This deadline established for all offers uploaded in the campaign will be communicated to all customers who place Black Friday orders.
- Thus, it’s necessary that all orders registered in the Campaign to be completed by December 2.
➡️ What flows will be restricted on the Black Friday platform?
1.eMAG.hu website
- On November 13, starting at approximately 22:00, the emag.hu website and eMAG Marketplace platform will become unavailable for several hours.
- The website and eMAG Marketplace will become functional again on the morning of November 14, with the start of the Black Friday campaign.
- After the campaign ends, on Friday evening, November 14, the emag.hu website and eMAG Marketplace platform will become unavailable again and we will resume activity starting Saturday morning.
2.API flows and Feeds
- API routes and feeds will be completely stopped between Thursday, November 13, 20:00 and Friday, November 14, 9:00.
- Friday, November 14, between 9:00 – 13:00, API flows will be limited to 1 req/6 sec or 10 req/min. Feeds will function within normal parameters.
- Starting Friday, 13:00, API limits will return to normal: 1 req/3 sec or 20 req/min.
- Please note that these intervals are indicative and may undergo minor modifications if necessary.
3.Product listing
Service unavailability period: November 13 (07:00) – November 15 (07:00):
- Product association: Unavailable (you will receive error message)
- New product listing: Functional, but request processing begins from November 15
- Documentation modifications: Unavailable
4.eMAG Ads
Ads campaigns will run on Black Friday as usual. Products promoted through Ads will be displayed from the first hour of the campaign, immediately after we finalize technical settings verification.
5.Smart Deals badge
During the period November 10 (second half of the day) – November 24, the Smart Deals badge will be deactivated, to ensure maximum visibility during the Black Friday period.
During this interval:
- The ‘Get Smart Deals’ button will not be displayed in My Offers – General section.
- If you update prices through .XLS file or API, and the products meet the criteria for the Smart Deals badge, the badge will not be displayed on the site.
- If your offers already meet Smart Deals conditions, on November 10 the badge will be deactivated, but the price of products you’ve set will not change.
- From November 25, all flows for the Smart Deals badge will return to normal.
➡️ What operations can you perform on offers on Black Friday?
- You can decrease Campaign product prices – On Black Friday you’ll be able to reduce offer prices even more, using a special file.
- You can supplement stocks – If you have more stocks for offers that sell out faster, you can request stock supplementation for campaign products through the Message Center. It’s important to ensure you have sufficient stock to avoid any customer complaints.
- For products not participating in the campaign – You can perform price and stock updates through usual flows. If you use API, these updates will begin according to the schedule communicated above.
- You can create and optimize Ads campaigns – During the Black Friday campaign you can modify bids or add new offers to your Ads campaigns.
- Keep in mind that processing time for these actions may vary depending on the number of requests.
➡️ What stocks will you have on the platform after Black Friday?
- For products that participated in the campaign – After the campaign, the stocks you’ll have available for products that participated in the campaign will be the remaining unsold stocks from those reserved for Black Friday. Example:
- Your stock for a Black Friday participating product is 60 pieces, but in the Black Friday file you complete a stock of only 30 pieces.
- On Black Friday only the 30 pieces will be available for sale.
- In the Black Friday campaign you sell 25 pieces.
- At the end of the campaign, the remaining available stock for your product will be 5 pieces. That is 30 (stock reserved for Black Friday) – 25 (stock sold on Black Friday) = 5 pieces remaining available on the platform.
- For products that were not registered for Black Friday – Stocks will decrement normally.
